MISSION AND VISION

A project with a future

The Campana desalination plant will be connected to the Electric Grid through connection to the Substations of the grid management company located in the Escombreras Valley, foreseeably to the Fausita 220kV substation owned by Red Elรฉctrica de Espaรฑa, located in the vicinity of the IBERDROLA combined cycle plant. The creation of the electrical connection from said substation is contemplated. In a later phase of the project, a connection point will be requested to the distribution network and/or the transmission network operator to supply the necessary energy.

On the other hand, and in view of being a viable project from an energy point of view, the installation of photovoltaic self-consumption is planned, which will consist of a Photovoltaic Solar Power Plant (hereinafter CSF) and its evacuation infrastructure consisting of a lifting substation 30 /400kV and a 400kV high voltage overhead line that will interconnect the 30/400kV booster substation of the CSF with the reducer substation to be installed on the plots of the desalination facilities.

This last substation will have connection to its own consumption and connection to the transportation and/or distribution network for power when self-consumption is not available. Therefore, the installation of photovoltaic self-consumption of 1,317MWp (power of photovoltaic modules) and 1,054 MWn (installed power in inverters) is planned. The lifting substation will be installed adjacent to the CSF and the aerial evacuation line will run parallel to the pipe network provided for in the desalination facility project.

In addition, the installation of a storage system consisting of 3,700 batteries with a capacity of 7,400MWh (2MWh capacity per battery) is planned.
