The company “VOLS PARTNERS, S.L.” is promoting the construction of a Photovoltaic Solar Power Plant (hereinafter CSF) called "CSF LA CAMPANA" of 2,700 MWp (photovoltaic module power) and 2,250 MW of installed power (inverter power) that will be located in the municipality of Caravaca de la Cruz, in the province of Murcia.

To evacuate the energy generated by the aforementioned CSF, the construction of several 132 kV high voltage overhead lines is planned, starting from 30/132kV booster substations to be installed strategically distributed within the CSF and will be connected to a booster-collector substation. 132/400 kV, from which a 400 kV high voltage overhead line will depart to the desalination plant substation located in waste dumps.

The location for the implementation of the Photovoltaic Solar Field has been chosen due to three main conditions:

  • Need for a large area of land, without large unevenness, compact and without major disturbances.

  • Qualification of compatible land use for the implementation of the solar park and the associated energy infrastructure.

  • Not having any environmental protection.

The location of the project is compatible with municipal urban planning regulations. The selected lands are urban and environmentally compatible for the construction of the photovoltaic solar plant in accordance with the urban planning regulations of the Most Excellent City Council of Caravaca de la Cruz.

The company intends to build the photovoltaic installation for self-consumption of the Macro IDAM called "LA CAMPANA" of 2,700 MWp and its consequent interconnection infrastructure, located in the municipality of Caravaca de la Cruz in This document defines the technical characteristics of the installation of a photovoltaic solar power plant for self-consumption located in the municipality of Caravaca de la Cruz in the province of Murcia, Spain, with 2,700 MW of peak power of photovoltaic modules and 2,250 MW of nominal power. and installed (inverter power), to supply electrical energy to the Macro Desalination Plant projected in the Escombreras Valley, which is expected to produce a total of 600 Hm3/year, giving a ratio of 2.9 kWh/ m3, 1,740 GWh per year would be needed.
